(a) Fog seems to be appearing in Delhi during day hours.

= It is Air pollution.

(b) Many times, vomiting and dysentery occurs after eating ‘pani puri’.

= This statement express the water pollution.

(c) Problem of sneezing occurs sometimes during visit to garden.

= This statement express the Air pollution.

(d) Crop does not grow up in some areas.

= This statement express the Land pollution.

(e) People living in the busy squares face the problems like short breathing and other respiratory problems

Answer :

Foul smell of human and animal waste was present at many places

Answer : 

(a) The unwanted changes in the physical, chemical and biological properties of the environment is known as pollution.

OR,

Pollution is the contamination of natural factors like air, water and land by damage causing pollutants.

(c) Acid rain is the rain that falls when oxides of Nitrogen and Sulphur mixes with the rain in the clouds forming acids.

(d) The heat increasing effect of carbon dioxide and other heat trapping gases on the earth’s average temperature is known as green house effect.

(f) Gases like Sulphur dioxide, Carbon dioxide, methane are some examples of invisible pollutants as they are very hard to see.

(a) Two examples of air pollution from our area are

(i) The air here is too unhealthy to breathe

(ii) It is very difficult to see what is around In the morning

Two examples of land pollution from our area are

(i) No vegetation could be seen thriving here,

(ii) The ground water seems to unhealthy for drinking

Two examples of water pollution from our area are

(i) The color of the water of the ponds has changed to black

(ii) Aquatic life can’t be seen in ponds near me

(b) Vehicles often emits green houses gases that capture heat and increase the average temperature of earth thus contributing to pollution.

The vehicles causing least pollution are bicycles, tricycles and electric bikes, scooters or cars

(c) The natural reasons for water pollution are

  • Aquatic weeds
  • Decomposing plant and animals
  • Mud, sludge
  • Microbes growing on organic matter
  • Soil erosion

(d) The four preventive measures for air pollution are as follows

  • Using pollution controlling machines in factory
  • Taking public transport
  • Proper disposal of waste
  • Controlling CFC production

(e) The relation between global warming and green house effect is that global warming is increasing with increase in green house effects.

(f) Slogans for air pollution are :

  • Don’t smoke the air, pollution isn’t fare.
  • Don’t be lazy, keep the air cozy.

Slogans for soil pollution are :

  • Plant green to breathe clean.
  • People who destroys soil destroys themselves.
