At the age thirteen he started working as bookbinder with which he became obsessed with books. While working as bookbinder he came across a book on electricity once and soon he became fascinated on the topic. Faraday did not have the formal education, financial support to pursue science still he did not lose hope and tried through his constant learning.
(b) When Faraday watched the demonstration of the renowned chemist Humphry Davy about electrical lighting he was spellbound. He made hand-notes from Davy’s lecture and bound into a book. Faraday wanted Davy as his mentor but he was not agreed initially. Later when Davy became blind for a chemical explosion in his lab he appointed faraday as his secretary. Faraday worked there day and night to learn from Davy’s experiments and promoted to the position of lab assistant. Still Davy did not have faith in him that he could do anything in science for his social status and education and he used the word even then.
(c) Once Davy tried to create many practical applications of force but was unable to figure out. Then he asked faraday to try over it just for teasing. But Faraday solved the problem within few days and worked on further creations which resulted in induction motor. The induction motor was a revolution in science for which Faraday became a celebrity scientist within overnight. For the ultimate result people started telling Davy that faraday was the best of all his discoveries.

(a) Michael faraday :
Michael faraday was a great scientist who earned everything with his hard work and never give up attitude by working against all odds. He invented great discoveries in science without any formal education in science. He just read a lot of books on science and learned from experiments of Humphry Davy while he worked as his secretary. He invented induction motor which made him a great scientist and people applauded his work.
(b) Humphry Davy :
Humphry Davy was a renowned chemist who worked on chemicals and electrical lighting. He gave lecture and demonstration on the mysterious force of electric fluid at London’s royal institution. After a chemical explosion in his lab Davy became temporarily blind and then he kept faraday as his secretary. In 1829 Davy died and faraday succeeded as the head of his laboratory.
(c) Thomas Edison :
Thomas Edison was a popular scientist who worked on electricity and electric lighting. He worked for great discoveries out of which electric bulb was the most relevant of that time.
(d) James Maxwell :
James Maxwell was a renowned physicist who was well versed in mathematics. He wanted to work with faraday and translated his idea into mathematical equations which is known as Maxwell’s equations. Their combined work helped us in many ways with discoveries in electronics and communication. With their discoveries we will be able to communicate with aliens from different galaxies.
