Answer : 

Difference between Infectious and noninfectious diseases are –

  • Infectious diseases :

Diseases that spread when a person comes in contact with contaminated air, water ,food or insect and animals are known as Infectious diseases.

  • Non Infectious diseases :

Diseases that occur without any body contact or infections in a human body are known as Non- Infectious diseases.

Question no – (2) 

Answer : 

(a) Hepatitis :

Apart from hepatitis every other disease is caused by a mosquito bite.

(b) AIDS :

Apart from AIDS all other diseases are caused by bacteria.

Question no – (3) 

Answer : 

(a) The various media through which infectious disease can spread are contaminated air, food, water, insects or animals.

(b) The five non – Infectious diseases are as follows :

(1) Asthama

(2) Arthritis

(3) Cystic Fibrosis

(4) Hypertension or High blood pressure

(5) Alzheimer

(c) The main reason for diabetes and heart diseases are heredity, stress, lack of exercise, and obesity.

Answer :  

(a) Drinking boiled and filtered water.

= We can prevent Hepatitis and Dysentery.

(b) Avoiding smoking and alcoholism.

= We can prevent Cancer and Heart diseases.

(c) Regular balanced diet and exercise.

= We can prevent Diabetes.

(d) Proper checking of blood before blood donation.

= We can prevent spread of infectious diseases like AIDS.

Answer :  

(a) Master ‘X’ can suffer from which different possible diseases in above conditions?

= In above conditions Master X can suffer from infectious diseases that spread though contaminated water such as Typhoid, Dysentery, Cholera, Tuberculosis, Jaundice and as well as Non Infectious disease such as Diabetes due to the habit of eating non balanced diet.

(b) How will you help him and his family in this situation?

= In this situation I can inform the family of the deadly diseases they can contract using public toilets and eating non balanced diet.

(c) Which disease can occur to the father of master ‘X’?

= The father of Master X can get diseases such as Heart attack and Cancer.

(a) The preventive measures of Dengue as follows :

Dengue can be prevented by not letting water log into containers, buckets, tires or anything that could hold water for a long time. This could stop mosquitoes from laying eggs.

(a) The importance of Balanced diet : 

A balanced diet will not only give you sufficient energy but will also prevent diseases such as obesity, heart attacks and diabetes.

(b) The importance of Physical exercise and Yogasanas :

Regular practice of yoganas and physical exercise are considered beneficial in regulating obesity thus lowering the chances of having heart attacks, diabetes and other non infectious diseases.
