Question no – (1)

Solution :

(i) An equilateral triangle

= 3 line symmetry.

(ii) An isosceles triangle

= 1 line symmetry.

(iii) A scalene triangle

= 0 line symmetry.

(iv) A rectangle

= 2 line symmetry.

(v) A rhombus

= 2 line symmetry.

(vi) A square

= 4 line symmetry.

(vii) A parallelogram

= 0 line symmetry.

(viii) A quadrilateral

= 0 line symmetry.

(ix) A regular pentagon

= 5 line symmetry.

(x) A regular hexagon

= 6 line symmetry.

(xi) A circle

= Infinite line symmetry.

(xii) A semi-circle

= 1 line symmetry.

Question no – (2)

Solution :

(i) An isosceles triangle?

= The other name will be Altitude.

(ii) A circle?

= The other name will be Diameter.

Question no – (3)

Solution :

Three shape with no line of symmetry are,

(i) Scalene triangle.

(ii) Parallelogram.

(iii) Quadrilateral.

Solution : 

A square have both line symmetry and rotational symmetry.

Question no – (3)

Solution : 

A semicircle triangle has a line of symmetry but does not have rotational symmetry.

Solution : 

An isosceles has neither line of symmetry not a rotational symmetry.

Question no – (5)

Solution : 

(i) English alphabet with no line of symmetry is ‘P’

(ii) English alphabet with rotational symmetry of order 2 is ‘N’.
