Anas: No, I haven’t visited any interesting tourist spot in Bangladesh yet but I wish to visit there, the place I want to is Buddhist temple because of statue of Lord Buddha.

2.) Which of the following activities would you like to do while visiting a tourist spot?

Sight-seeing, taking photos, having picnic, shopping, collecting souvenirs, others

Ans: I would like taking photos, having picnic and shopping also.

B1. Complete the dialogue below and act it out in pairs.

A: Are there any rivers in Birishiri?

B: Yes, there are. There are two rivers, the Shomeshwari and Kangsa.

A: Is there any hills in Birishiri?

B: Yes, there is. It’s called the ceramic hill of  Durgapur.

A: Can I see any other hills from there?

B: Yes, you can. You can see the hills of Meghalaya’s state from there.

A: Will I see people of various ethnic groups there?

B: Yes, you will. You will see people of Hajong, Garo, Achik and Mandi tribes.

A: Are there any temples there?

B: Yes, there are. You can see the Dasha Busha Temple and the Ramkrishna and Lokanath baba temples there.

Ans: It located under Netrokona district under 170 km north from Dhaka.

2.) How far is Shusong Durgapur from Dhaka?

Ans: It’s 170 km far from Dhaka.

3.) Where is the Birishiri Tribal Cultural Academy?

Ans: It is located at Shusong Durgapur.

4.) How can you get to Shusong Durgapur from Dhaka?

Ans: You can get to Shusong Durgapur by road directly from Mohakhali bus stand, Dhaka.

5.) Why is Shusong Durgapur called “an unseen beauty of Bangladesh”?

Ans: It is because of there beautiful nature and lovely hills and blue water rivers and also different types of cultures of tribes.

Write a passage on a place of tourist attraction that you know.

Ans: As we know that Taj Mahal is one of the seven wonders in the world. Taj Mahal situated in Agra on the southern bank of the river Yamuna. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan to house the tomb of his wife favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal, it is also house the tomb of Shah Jahan himself. Taj Mahal is the sign of love and it also show the love of Shah Jahan to his wife. It is so beautiful and eye catching. Many tourist from different countries come to this place and captured lots of memories and taking lots of photos.
