Solution :

(a) 32 : 36

= 32/36

= 8/9

(b) 186 : 403

= 186/403

(c) 85 : 102

= 85/102

= 5/6

= 40/5 × 100

(e) 7 kg to 280g

= 7 × 1000/280

= 25 g

= 3 × 60/2 × 45

Let, total  capital = x

According to question,

= 7 × 250/5

Let, total sheet = x

∴ Breadth = x × 5/14

According to question,

Let, sum = x

According to question

x/945 = 9500/665

or, x = 9500 × 945/665

x = 13500 Rs

Solution :

Actual distance of A to B = 300 m

Map distance of A to B = 4 cm

= 4/100

= 0.04

Map distance of A to B = 7 cm

= 7/100

= 0.07 m

∴ Actual distance of A to B

= 300 × 0.07/0.04

= 525 m

= 185 × 7.5/5

1 week = 7 days

∴ he will paid,

= 24 × 3500/7

= 12000 Rs

Solution :

Number of erasers,

= 12 × 140/35

= 48

Hence, 48 eraser can be bought with Rs 12

Solution :

= 41720 × 9/4
