= (3/4 × 100)

= 75%

(b) 3/10

= (3/10 × 100)%

= 30%

(c) 7/25

= (7/25 × 100)

= 28%

(d) 1/3

= (1/3 × 100)

= 33 1/3%

= (3/8 × 100)%

= 75/2%

= 37 1/2%

Solution :

= 30/100

= 3/10

= 0.3

(b) 45%

= 45/100

= 9/20

= 0.45

(c) 6 1/4%

= 25/4 × 100

= 1/16

= 0.0625

= 100/9 × 100

= 1/9

= 0.11

= 125/100

= 5/4

= 1.25

Question no – (1) 

Solution :

(a) 20% of 600

= 20/100 × 600

= 120

(b) 40% × 540

= 40/100 × 540

= 216 litres

(c) 13% of 30

= 13/100 × 30

= 390/100

= 3.9 kg

(d) (6.5/100 × 750) kg

= 65/100 × 750

= 48.75 kg

(e) 2% of 80

= 20/100 × 80

= 16 Rs

(f) 10% of 60 kg

= (10/100 × 60)

= 6 kg

(g) (12/100 × 96) km

= 11.52 km

(h) 15% of 75

= 15/100 × 75

= 225/20

= 11.25

(a) (20/250 × 100)%

= 8%

(b) (30/240 × 100)%

= 12.5%

(c) (360/720 × 100)%

= 50%

(d) (240/300 × 100)%

= 80%

Solution :

(a) Let, he ‘x’

= x × 10/100 = 50

= x = 50 × 100/10

= 500

= x × 20/100 = 90

= x = 100 × 90/20

= 450

(c) 45% is 540

Let, no is ‘x’

x × 45/100 = 540

= x = 540 × 100/45

= 40/60 × 100

= 200/3

= 66 2/3%

Toffees,

= 20/60 × 100

= 100/3

Rest = {(100 – (20 + 50)}

= 100 – 70

White = (50/100 × 4900)

= 2450

Red = (20/100 × 4900)

= (800 × 5/10)

= 250/800

= 28 books

Novels = (7/28 × 100)%
