(c) In January there are formally → 4 Sundays

(d) 25 Dec to 2nd Jan

= (31 – 25) + 2

= 6 + 2

= 8 days

(e) January

(g) 23 Aug + 15 day

= 23 + 8 + 7

= 7 Sep

(i) Formally 4 weekends

(j) 23rd Feb + 10 day

= 23 + 5 + 5

= 5th march

Question no – (2)

Solution :

(a) 2 months

= 2 × 30

= 60 days

(b) = 29 + 31 + 31

= 91 days

(c) = 3 × 7 + 4 day

= 21 + 4

= 25 day

(d) = 30 + 3 × 7 + 20 day

= 30 + 21 + 20 day

= 71 day

(e) 5 weeks

= 5 × 7

= 35 day

(f) = 31 + 31 + 28

= 90 day

Question no – (3)

Solution :

(a) 1 1/4 = 5/4 × 24

= 5 × 6

= 30 hour

(b) 24/2

= 12 hour

(c) 2 × 24 + 1/2 × 24

= 48 + 12

= 60 hour

(d) 1 × 7 × 24 + 1/4 × 24 hour

= 168 + 6

Question no – (4)

Solution :

(a) 3 × 24 hour

= 3 × 24 × 60 minutes

= 4320 minutes

(b) 2 × 24 × 60 + 45

= 2880 + 45

= 2925 minutes

(c) 6 + 1/4 = 12 + 1/2

= 13/2 day

= 13/2 × 24× 60 minutes

= 9360 minutes

(d) 1 × 24 × 60 + 1/4 × 60

= 1440 + 15

= 1455 minutes

(e) 2 × 24 × 60 + 1/2 × 60 minutes

= 2880 + 30 minutes

= 2910 minutes

Question no – (5)

Solution :

(a) 3/8 of a day

= 3/8 × 24

= 1/4 × 24 hour + 30 minutes

= 6 hour + 30 minutes

= (360 + 30) minutes

= 390 minutes

(e) (2015 – 14) = 2001

2001 + 5 = 2006

So, Vaibhav was born on 2001

and Anusuya was born on 2006

(f) He went on 1st Jan
