(a) If a old T.V. and a old cycle cost 4158 and 5292 respectively, then what is the total cost of them?
(b) Rajib go to market and buy 2604 rupees of mango, 3153 of sandesh and 8175 rupees of rice. Find the total cost.
(c) In colleges there are 27,346 are boys and 43,584 are girls, what is the total students of the colleges.
(d) In an election there are three candidates. They received 14385,53401 and 6281 votes. How many votes were polled in all ?

(a) Round of to nearest ten
Round off sum = 50 + 30 = 80
Actual sum = 54 + 27 = 81
∴ Difference = 81 – 80 = 1
(b) Round off sum = 90 + 70 = 160
Actual sum = 92 + 65 = 157
∴ Difference = 160 – 157 = 3
(c) Round off sum = 170 + 420 = 590
Actual sum = 173 + 415 = 588
∴ Difference = 590 – 588 = 2
(d) Round off sum = 620 + 970 = 1590
