21 + (-15)

= 21 -15

– 168 + (-656)

= -168 – 656

= – 824

(c) -76 and 162

– 76 + 162

= 162 – 76

– 56 + 102 + (- 256)

= – 56 + 102 – 256

= – 56 – 154

The resultant integer will be positive

The resultant integer will be negative

The resultant integer will be negative

The resultant integer will be positive

Solution :

After one hour – (5 × 60) = 300m

Position after 30 min- 300/2 = 150m

It begins from 35m

(1500 – 35)

= 115 m

Therefore, its position will be 115 m after 30 minutes.

Given, 15 ÷ 3 + 8 × 4 -9

= 5 + 8 × 4 – 9

= 5 + 32 – 9

= 37 – 9

= 28   …(Simplified)

Solution :

Given, – 2 × 6 – 13 + {15 × (21÷3)}

= – 2 × 6 -13 + {15 × 7}

= – 2 × 6 – 13 + 105

= – 12 – 13 + 105

= – 12 + 92

= 80   …(Simplified)

Question no – (3) 

Solution :

Given, {(64 ÷ 2) – 32} × 8 – 6

= {32 – 32} × 8 -6

= 0 × 8 – 6

= 0 – 6

= – 6   …(Simplified)

Question no – (4)

Solution :

Given, 156 – 248 ÷ 8 × (-19) -87

= 156 – 31 × (- 19) – 87

= 156 + 589 – 87

= 745 – 87

= 658  …(Simplified)

Question no – (5)

Solution :

Given, 82 – [8 + 9 of (24 – 2 × 12)]

= 82 – [8 + 9 of (24 – 24)]

= 82 – [8 + 9 of 0]

= 82 – 8

= 74  …(Simplified)

Solution :

Given, 4482 ÷ 9 – 837 × (- 4) + 2964

= 498 – 837 × (- 4) = 2946

= 498 + 3348 + 2964

= 6792   …(Simplified)

Solution :

According to the question,

{513 ÷ 3 × (- 3) + 720} ÷ 3 – (- 1092)

= {171 × (- 3) + 720} ÷ 3 – (- 1092)

= {-513 + 720} ÷ 3 + 1092

= 207 ÷ 3 + 1092

= 69 + 1092

= 1161   …(Simplified)

Solution :

12 + 6 ÷ (-9) × 4

= 18 ÷ (-9) × 4

= – 2 × 4

= – 8   …(Simplified)

Solution :

As per the question,

[{4 + 2 × 13 – 10 ÷ 2} + (5 + 4) ÷ 3]

= [{4+ 2 × 13 – 5} + 9 ÷ 3]

= [{4 + 26 – 5} + 3]

= [{30 – 5} + 3]

= [25 + 3]

= 28   …(Simplified)

Solution :

Given, [2000 ÷ {(90 ÷ 2 + 5) × (2 + 6 × 3)}] × 4

= [2000 ÷ {(45 + 5) × (2 + 18)}] × 4

= [2000 ÷ {50 × 20}] × 4

= [2000 ÷ 1000] × 4

= 2 × 4

= 8   …(Simplified)
