Answer : 

The components needed for our body which is made up of some ingredients are known as nutrients. Such as carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals.

(2) Name the following :

(a) The nutrients which mainly give energy to our body.

Answer : 

The nutrient which mainly gives energy to our body is, Carbohydrates and fats both give the energy and fats give some more energy as per carbohydrates ghee wheat rice potato sugarcane are some sources of carbohydrates

(b) The nutrients that are needed for the growth and maintenance of our body.

Answer : 

Minerals are needed for proper growth of body and to maintain good health.

Milk banana ginger eggs are some sources of minerals

(c) A vitamin required for maintaining good eyesight.

Answer : 

Vitamin A keeps our skin and eyes healthy and carrot papaya mango are some sources of vitamin A

(d) A mineral that is required for keeping our bones healthy.

Answer : 

Vitamin D helps our body to use calcium for bones and teeth and fish eggs and liver are some sources of vitamin D and sun light is also a source

(3) Name two foods each rich in:

(a) Fats

(b) Starch

(c) Dietary fibre

(d) Protein

(a) Meat fish and groundnut are rich in fats.

(b) Potato and rice are rich in starch.

(c) Pulses, potatoes are rich in dietary fibre.

(d) Meat and soya bean are rich in proteins.
