Question number – (1)

Solution :

In the given question,

Three pieces of wood measuring lengths = 2.46 m, 1.35 m and 0.92 m.

Total length of the wood pieces = ?

Total length,

= (Sum of the Three pieces of wood)

= 2.46 + 1.35 + 0.92

= 4.73 m

So, the total length of the wood pieces is 4.73 m.

Question number – (2)

Solution :

Given in the question,

Raju spends for ice-cream = ₹ 12.06

Raju spends for snacks = ₹ 63.24

Raju spends for a movie ticket = ₹ 90.90

His total spend,

= (ice-cream + snacks + movie ticket)

= 12.06 + 63.24 + 90.90

= 166.2

So, Raju spend Rs. 166.2 in all.

Question number – (3)

Solution :

In the given question we get,

Sara has a lace measuring = 16.70 m.

She wants to cut out a piece of = 8.45 m

Lace left with Sara,

= (total measuring of lace – measure of cut out a piece)

= (16.70 – 8.45)

= 8.25 m

Suits can be made from 20 m = ?

Bunty used 16 litres of petrol to cover = 157.6 km.

kilometres covered in 1 litre of petrol = ?

Solution :

Given in the question,

Kalpana purchased 12.5 kg of sugar for = ₹ 291.25,

The cost of 1 kg = ?

The cost of 3.5 kg sugar = ?

Sugar cost per kg,

= 291.25/12.5

We know that,
