– 6 : 30
—————————–
13.30 hour
Question no – (2)
Solution :
(a) According to question total rain-fall,
3 h 50 min
4h 30 min
2 h 40 min
—————————–
9 h 120 min
∴ 9 hour + 120 min
= 9 hour + 2 hour
= 11 hours
Thus, It rained for 11 hours in total.
(b) In the question,
train was scheduled to arrive at = 5 : 20 pm.
It was late by = 3 hours 45 minutes.
Now, 5 : 20 pm + 3 hour 45 minute
= 8 hour : 65 minute
= 8 hour + 1 hour 5 minute
= 9 : 05 pm
So, the train arrive at 9 : 05 pm.
(c) Given in the question,
∴ Total time spend,
1 hour 40 minute
+ 50 minute
1 hour 15 minute
—————————–
= 2 hour 105 minute
Now, 2 hour + 1 h 45 minute
= 3 hour 45 minute
So, the total time she spends at her classes is 3 hour 45 minute.
(d) According to the question,
8 : 50 pm + 4 hour 20 minute
= 12 hour 70 minute
= 12 hour + 1 hour 10 minute
= 13 : 10 am
or = 01 : 10 am
So, the time will be 13 : 10 am or 01 : 10 am
(e) Duration of the second half,
2 hour 30 minute
– 55 minute
—————————–
1 hour 90 minute
Now,
1 hour 90 minute
– 55 minute
—————————–
1 hour 35 min
So, the duration of the second half is 1 hour 35 min.
(f) According to the question,
Magic show began at = 2 : 00 pm
Magic show ended at = 3 : 40 pm.
So now,

1 : 40 hour
Thus, the duration of the magic show is 1 hour 40 minute.
(g) According to the question,
The journey by train takes = 6 hours 30 minutes
The journey takes by car = 8 hours 15 minutes
Obviously Car takes longest journey.
∴ Time difference is,

—————————–
2 : 15 hour
It was pm → am
So, Total time 12 + 215 hour
= 14 : 15 hour
So, the time spent by him in the bus is 14 : 15 hour
(i) In the question,
The time 3 hours 30 minutes before 9 : 00 pm
It was pm → am
So, Total time 12 + 215 hour
= 14.15 hour
∴ 9 : 00 →
8 : 60
– 3 : 30
—————————–
5.30 hour
So, the time will be 5.30 hour.

Reshma’s school was scheduled to open on 25th March.
But it was postponed by 73 days.
Now, 73 days = 2 moths 13 days
= 6 day + 30 day + 31 day + 6 day
= [25 march + 6 day/march] + [30 day/April] + [31 day/may] + [6 day/June]
= Its 6th June
Thus, the school will open on 6th June.
