Answer :  

(a) The fact which prove that Tomba firmly believes in gender equality are –

Tomba advocates the cause of women.

He does not discriminate between a mans work and a woman’s work anywhere.

He shares equally with his life in doing the household chores like clearing, washing cooking etc.

In his discussion with his daughter, he laments over the great injustice done on woman in the society.

He told his daughter that they have to find a way to bring equality between men and woman.

(b) Ashangbi is a journalist and a activist of woman’s right. She has the equal rights and freedom as his husband in his house and in the society too. She can fight against the gender discrimination, whereas some other woman of her community are still not independent. They do not get their proper respect, rights over anything’s and get dominate by the men. In this way Ashangbi is different from other woman of her community.

(c) The provisions in the Declaration of the United Nations, to ensure equality of men and woman are

Equal access to basic social services including health and education.

Equal participation in political and economics decision making.

Equal reward for equal work.

Elimination of discrimination and violence against woman.

Answer : 

I had often noticed that in my neighbour’s family, the son was greatly pampered, but the daughter, Seema was treated unfairly. I could not bear this. So one day I decided to do something about this so that they could realize their mistakes. I felt that if I told them directly they might not realize it, so I decided to made another plan. With the help of my parents I wrote an article about those respected woman of our society, who had achieved a great height by their own potential and made a history .In that article I upheld their struggles. After few many days I completed my work.

Then one evening, me and my mother invited the neighbour’s family in our house along with an another family. In that evening I read the article in front of all of them and they all appreciated me very much. Apart from that Seema’s family, hearing my article, realized their mistake and injustice towards their daughter and they were thankful to me. I was really very happy that my plan worked that I succeed to made a positive impact on Seema’s family.
